About John
John Heid is a skilled woodworker and a retired corporate financial executive. He spent close to 30 years with Honeywell International, Inc., serving in progressive CFO roles that culminated in segment CFO positions within the Aerospace business. John comes from a family of craftsmen whose influence helped shape and refine his furniture-making skills. He has been woodworking for nearly 30 years, beginning with a craftsman-style bedroom set he built for his son as his first major project.
John specializes in creating unique furniture and other pieces from fine hardwoods that are built to stand the test of time and to be cherished and passed down through generations. His portfolio includes substantial custom pieces such as dining tables, sideboards, liquor cabinets and bars, end tables, and jewelry armoires, as well as experience designing and installing built-in cabinets and bathroom vanities. He also crafts smaller, finely detailed items including men’s and women’s jewelry boxes, wine openers, cutting boards, and charcuterie boards.
